Psychological Self-Care for Teachers – Mental Health and Well-Being Session

Psychological Self-Care for Teachers – Mental Health and Well-Being Session

3rd October 2026

Psychological Self-Care for Teachers | NPS JP Nagar

At National Public School, JP Nagar, a meaningful session on Psychological Self-Care and Mental Health Maintenance for Teachers created an opportunity for our teaching faculty to pause, reflect and focus on their own emotional well-being.

The session explored important aspects of the teaching profession, including emotional labour, compassion fatigue, stress management and healthy boundaries, along with practical ways to navigate everyday pressures.

Through engaging activities such as grounding exercises, the Circle of Control, Worry Time, breathing techniques and peer reflection, teachers were encouraged to understand their emotions, recognise their personal needs and develop simple practices that support emotional resilience.

The session highlighted an important part of teacher well-being — creating a healthy balance between professional responsibilities and personal needs, while nurturing the emotional strength needed to continue guiding and inspiring young minds.

Because supporting those who nurture children begins with creating space for their own well-being.
