Emotional Regulation and Impulse Control for Teachers at NPS JP Nagar

National Public School, JP Nagar, conducted an engaging professional development session on “Emotional Regulation and Impulse Control Under High-Stress Classroom Conditions” on 3 October 2026.

The session helped teachers understand how thoughts and emotions can influence classroom responses, while encouraging healthier ways to respond with awareness and composure.

Through interactive discussions, role-play, grounding activities, mindfulness, Progressive Muscle Relaxation and reflective journaling, teachers explored practical ways to manage stress and approach challenging classroom situations with greater patience, empathy and understanding.

The session reinforced an important message — emotional regulation is not about suppressing emotions, but about recognising them, understanding them and consciously choosing how we respond.
