Republic Day
26th January 2021
Republic Day honours the date on which the Constitution of India came into effect on 26 January 1950 replacing the Government of India Act (1935) as the governing document of India and thus, turning the nation into a newly formed republic.
On this day, the main celebration is held in the national capital, New Delhi, at the Rajpath before the President of India. On this day, ceremonious parades take place at the Rajpath, which are performed as a tribute to India; its unity in diversity and rich cultural heritage.
In order to instil patriotism among students and also to learn about great our heroes, we at NPS JP Nagar celebrated with various events like Fancy Dress competition, Paper Mosaic making competition, Poster making competition. Parents, with the tiny tots took part in the celebration and created innovative mouth-watering ‘Tri colour recipes’ and made beautiful badges along with their teachers. It was a wonderful celebration.
