Makar Sankranti
14th January 2021
Makar Sankranti Festival is celebrated enthusiastically in all parts of India on January 14th, it marks the day of the sun’s transit into the zodiac sign ‘Makar'(Capricorn) and ‘Sankranti’ which means to change direction.
According to the Hindu calendar, it also marks the beginning of harvesting season and this day is synonymous to kite flying too.
Our Pre-Primary students had a fun filled time making beautiful kites getting all geared up to fly them high this festive season and spread their message virtually to one and all.
“May the sun radiate peace, prosperity, and happiness and we at NPS JP Nagar wish you all a joyous Happy Makar Sankranti.
