Independence Day Celebration

Pre-Primary children celebrated Independence Day with great zeal and enthusiasm. The children were made aware of the importance of the theme for this Independence Day “Nation First Always First”. Children were dressed up as different Freedom Fighters. There was a mesmerizing musical skit, fancy dress, patriotic songs, and dance performances by the children of Pre-primary. Channelizing the creativity of students through various activities, little kids of NPS JP Nagar also organized tricolor cap-making, tri-colour hand print, flag with ice cream sticks, and cotton bud printing on dove activities which made the 76th Independence Day very creative and educational. A cultural program to mark the celebration of Independence Day was organized in the school. This event was held to encourage students to participate actively and cheer up their minds. The program ended by Singing the National Anthem.
It was truly a memorable day for all the children.

National Public School, JP Nagar marked the 76th Independence Day with much gaiety and alacrity. The event had an august gathering of the Chief Guest Dr. Nischal B, the Managing Director of NPS, JP Nagar, Mr. Pramod Srinivas, the Dean Ms. Harshita Kumar, and the Principal of the school Ms. Aracha Sinha.
The programme began with a soul-stirring prayer to the accompaniment of lighting of the lamp, which was followed by a welcome address by the head girl of the school. Soon the national Tricolour was hoisted, and with heads held high, the National Anthem was sung with much devotion. The ceremony then followed Dr. Nischal B’s speech, which emanated true connotation of patriotism.
Cultural events of high magnitude were then presented to the audience, starting with the welcome dance. And was followed by “Significance of the Day and Evolution of National Flag” presented in three different languages- English, Hindi, and Kannada, which accentuated the spirit of nationalism among all. The students then mesmerized the audience with their acrobatic skills, as they formed pyramids and waved the national flag from atop, leaving the spectators thrilled.
Next on list was the dance drama, “Chappale Chappale”, performed by the students as a tribute to the martyrs, freedom fighters and all the superstars of India. Often known as the land where unity lies in diversity, the cultural uniqueness of India was presented through a beautiful dance performance on the song “Bharat Anokha Raag Hain”.
The students then went back to show their athleticism and coordination with dumbbells in hand, leaving the spectators impressed and awed.
A melodious and moving rendition of “Vande Mataram”, which sent shivers of patriotism in all, marked the concluding of the event. And the head boy of the school came on stage to express the vote of thanks to all.
