Dussehra Celebrations
4th to 8th October 2021
Celebrating festivals is an integral part of learning at National Public School JP Nagar. Being a diverse country, through such celebrations, students not only learn the significance behind the festival, but they also learn to embrace other traditions and cultures just like they do with their own. Celebrations bring the school community together building a close bond between the children.
Keeping up to this tradition, the festival of Dussehra was celebrated virtually by our Pre Primary students from 4th to 8th October 2021. Dussehra is a major Indian festival celebrated for 10 days; it also marks the end of Navratri. It signifies the victory of Lord Rama over the demon Ravan & thus celebrates the triumph of virtue over the vice.
The enthusiastic little stars of NPS JP Nagar celebrated Dussehra with a lot of fervour. A melodious Gayatri mantra was sung by the students. The tiny tots from the junior section were attired in the costumes of Lord Ram, Lakshmana, Sita Mata, Hanuman ji and Ravana & made beautiful art of Durga Maa. They were directed to imbibe good qualities among them.
It was truly a grand celebration & our little stars had so much fun.
